Skeleton shoes

So I have been super busy with uni at the moment, I have finally made my decisions where to go and what course to do! I'm going to be making shoes!! For this project just coming up ( final major project) I'm making shoes out of collections people have, so if you have any collections feel free to share !!

I have a slight obsession with skeletons and bones, you know by the antlers hanging on my wall ( check out the post about my jewellery hanger) anyway, so last week I have been super busy bleaching and cleaning bones of a fox, I didn't know what would come of it I just wanted his skull (sorry my collections aren't for the faint hearted) after hours of labour and hours of planning I created a skeleton shoe.

The skeleton shoe is made up of spine bones, hip bones, ribs, femurs, and the jaw bones of the fox, anyway I wanted to share the skeleton shoe with you, it's only a prototype so no wearing it ;) just a piece of artwork :)

Blue lipstick stargazer

Last week was the week of dress up, I really wanted to try hard, standard dressing up for me though, but I wanted to be something I hadn't been before. I picked a mermaid, god knows why but I thought I could pull it off! I actually made my own top, hopefully I'll get some pictures up soon, but what I really wanted to talk about was the blue lipstick I used.

I brought the stargazer blue lipstick on a whim just when I was buying some other colours I thought it would be cute. And OMG the colour is amazing! It's so vibrant and sort of metallic, but it goes on so easily, in the picture I'm wearing one swipe of the lipstick. It was so cheap and I was really pleased by the longevity of the product!

I have only worn this in unlicensed once before, but know keyshia Dior brought out coloured lipsticks like these and got away with wearing them out. What do you think ? :)

It was insane, the woman who runs it was very created and made a lot of the pieces herself and the other pieces were made from smaller businesses.

The maxi skirt with converse

I have seen so many girls rock this look and I never thought it would work for me.

1. I have an addiction to platform shoes, I don't usually wear flats so was feeling out of my comfort zone.

2. Maxi skirts never fit how I want them to, I'm a tall 5 ft 9 and they never quite make the ground.

Regardless I saw the maxi skirt I wanted in primark, cute burgundy colour a slit side, a nice length, and only £8!! I couldn't resist!
And hey ho what do you know primark also did converse dupes!! And for £7! Perfect for those of you who are wary of this look and fancy trying it out on a budget.

I styled this maxi skirt with converse, a polo crop top, a statement necklace, a beanie and of course big hair! Tell me what you think :)

The free bag of Jasper Conran

The other day I got a phone call from a lady who worked at the secondary school I used to attend, my teacher was lovely and stayed in contact with lots of her ex pupils, I was a bit surprised to get a phone call from her but she explained to me one of her old pupils had got an internship with Jasper Conran and had loads of leftover dresses from samples and mock ups, she had kept them for so long in her wardrobe hoping one day to do something with them.

Then she had a clean out and decided to give the dresses to me after seeing the clothing business I have and maybe I could reconstruct them etc, so here's something I came up with using 2 of the dresses hope you like it, sorry about my hair and (non existent )makeup!


The top is a pretty corseted dress which went down just below the knee decorated in material leaves and flowers with a chiffon underlay. The bottom is a skirts made from different layers of thick netting and thin chiffon like material.

Sorry Ive been MIA!

Hey guys, I've been really absent recently, i have just spent the week in Amsterdam, and it was incredible! I would recommend it to anyone, reguardless of the smoking and prositutes scene, its still an amazingly beautiful city, with loads of stuff to do!!

Then after that I got sick! ( Probably all that partying in AmsterDAYM!) but now hopefully i will be back on track for a few more entries, I have lots of stuff to share with you guys :)

 

I have a few buys that maybe yah'll would like to see, from Amsterdam and a mini Primark Haul!

 

I also have finally got my head around spring coming and have set my heart on my spring shoes I want which I shall reveal later on !! ;)
